WHOSE LIFE IS THIS ANYWAYS?
Since March is MS awareness month, it got me thinking about how much time and energy we put into thinking, worrying, focusing on the “illness”.
Of course, I am all for spreading MS awareness to educate others who like myself before diagnosis had no clue what MS was.
But I ask you to stop and consider how often you are feeding the MS “monster”?
Are you so focused on what is wrong and how many things you can’t do that it is stopping you from enjoying the simplest things like spending time with family and friends?
Stop letting MS be the driver of your life. If your anything like me, you have been cruising far too long on “auto pilot”. Change can always be a scary proposition but without it, you may fall prey to complacency.
This year, I have taken huge leaps of faith. I have gotten married, moved not only to a different city but to a different country.
Go ahead and dye your ahir orange or paint your fingernails orange for the month of March. For there are no rules to how you want to spread awareness. The only rule is to not let MS stop you from being “you”.
MS may be a part of your life.
It does not have to be the whole of it.
